Tell Your Story With Photos: Flickr Donation Programme Now Available On The CTX Programme

The Flickr photo sharing service has teamed up with TechSoup/CTX Programme to offer premium "Pro" accounts to individuals within eligible organisations. Flickr is a new way for organisations like yours to tell your story. By requesting a package of two or five Pro accounts, you can showcase and chronicle your organisation's work through your own photography.

To celebrate the launch of the Flickr Donation Programme in the UK, we are offering the first 20 qualifying organisations that place a donation request for either a two or five Pro licence package one free place on a Flickr Masterclass to be held on the 20th June 2008 in London.

Flickr is a Web site for photo storage, sharing and organisation, making photo management an easy, natural, and collaborative process. Flickr stores over two billion photos taken by members all over the world. Communication tools let you add comments, notes, and tags to your photos. You can also post photos to a blog, share them, and more.

A Flickr Pro account offers many advantages over a free account, making it the perfect way to get started with photo sharing or to advance your usage to the next step:

UPLOAD an unlimited number of photos from your computer desktop or via email, including large photos up to 10 MB in size (free accounts have a monthly upload limit)
ORGANISE your images into any number of sets (free accounts are limited to 3 sets)
SHARE your photos easily with your organisation or the world by posting them in up to 60 themed groups (free accounts are limited to 10 groups)
ARCHIVE the original high-resolution images (only smaller resized images are accessible through free accounts)
VIEW STATISTICS on how many people have seen your photos (not available to free account holders)

Free Masterclass

To celebrate the launch of the Flickr Donation Programme in the UK, we are offering the first 20 qualifying organisations that place a donation request for either a two or five Pro licence package one free place on a Flickr “Masterclass” to be held on the 20th June 2008 in London.

The Masterclass will be hosted by Steve Bridger. Steve is an experienced online community builder and mentor. He is an award-winning blogger with experience of content creation, coaching, 'buzz' marketing and reputation management. Steve is also a contributor to several reports on online fundraising and a sought-after conference speaker. He has 700 photos on Flickr that have been viewed over 350,000 times.

Please note: the Masterclass will only be offered to those organisations who meet the eligibility criteria for the Flickr Donation Programme and who place a donation request for a Pro licence package through the CTX Programme.
