A new website could revolutionise charity fundraising across the world. Unlike other similar sites, which see users donate money to good causes up front, MyDunkTank encourages users to work harder by proposing fundraising dares. A user registers on the site and chooses their favourite charity, before making a list of dares they are willing to carry out to generate funds. Friends, relatives and colleagues vote for their dare of choice, along with a proposed donation. Users then carry out the most popular dare after two weeks in order to boost charity fundraising for their selected organisation. The website notes: "Anything goes, as long as it's not mean, dangerous or illegal. This is about having fun, being creative and laughing at ourselves - all while helping a good organisation." Fundraisers are also encouraged to document their dare online through pictures, videos and social network posts. MyDunkTank founder Blake Jennelle started the website by carrying out a dare that saw him dress as a cowboy every day for a month, raising a total of $2,095 (£1,341). ![]() Information For Companies |
