Kidney Research UK has announced a dramatic increase in its online charity fundraising operations. According to the organisation, its online donations reached a total of £360,000 between January and June - a 66 per cent increase on the £145,000 generated in the first half of 2009. The charity notes that the improvements could be due to the introduction of branded fundraising pages provided by AltaContact, while donors could also be drawn in by its integrated event registration. Peter Storey, director of marketing at Kidney Research UK, stated that 71 per cent of the organisation's online revenue now comes from its own pages. "It's vital that in these difficult times charities effectively use the tools at their disposal and analyse what works best for them," Mr Storey said. AltaContact managing director John Samuel added that the group saw a rise in its charity fundraising because it was not afraid to test new technologies. Donors can also set up a direct debit payment to the charity via the website. ![]() Information For Companies |
