Green charity launches website to boost communications

Written by Isabel Griffith

A green charity has launched a new website to improve its charity communications in Scotland.

According to the Scotsman, the Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust (ELGT) designed the site in a bid to improve the quality of life of people in the region.

The charity website lists parks and woodlands around Edinburgh, as well as community groups, environmental workshops and green events.

Liz Stewart, ELGT fundraising manager, told the Scotsman that the trust has expanded over the last year to reach a wider audience.

"This website is designed to be accessible and informative and to give people up-to-the-minute information about places to visit and outdoor activities in their local area," Ms Stewart said.

Forest schools activities, guided walks, conservation projects and fitness sessions are all offered by the trust, while it also specialises in community consultation, fundraising and project management.

The ELGT has invested £8 million in nearly 400 projects since it was set up in 1990.ADNFCR-1578-ID-800047105-ADNFCR
