Cancer Research launches supporters' microsite

Written by Matthew Carter

A national charity is looking to improve its charity communications through a new microsite and direct mail campaign.

Cancer Research UK has announced it is scrapping its annual newsletter to supporters in favour of the two-pronged approach.

It is hoped that the scheme, devised in collaboration with digital agency TDA, will help it reach more people and show donors exactly how their money has been spent.

The direct mail booklet will use the theme 'Your Story', offering regional updates about how Cancer Research supporters have improved the lives of others.

Melanie Day, direct marketing specialist manager at Cancer Research UK, commented on the charity communications drive: "This campaign is not about asking for donations - it's our opportunity to thank our many supporters for what they've done to help beat cancer."

Ms Day added that the microsite and booklet could help supporters "feel closer to us as an organisation".

The charity supports the work of over 4,800 doctors, nurses and scientists investigating all forms of cancer.ADNFCR-1578-ID-800054563-ADNFCR
