A charity fundraising auction series is set to take place next month in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Bling My Bra enters its second year with the launch of a range of unique, art-themed bras that will be sold in aid of global breast cancer awareness organisation Susan G Komen for the Cure. Last year, the initiative raised over $3,000 (£1,944) for cancer research and treatment, while this year organisers hope to double that total. Bling My Bra is now taking submissions of homemade bras for sale on online auction website eBay - a fact that could boost charity fundraising for the initiative. It states: "Put your idea into motion and make that bra. You can craft it using a ready-made bra or make it from scratch. Bling My Bra can't happen without all of the wonderful people who volunteer to submit their bras." The charity fundraising scheme was started by eBay retailer Beth Cherkowsky last year, when one bra per day was auctioned in October. ![]() Information For Companies |
