Norton SystemWorks Basic Edition (11.0 is the 2008 version) combines several products and tools that help prevent and repair common PC problems. It provides virus and spyware protection, recovery tools for lost data, hardware diagnostics, and tools to keep PCs running at peak efficiency.

Norton SystemWorks includes the following tools and utilities:

• Norton AntiVirus 2008 protects the computer from virus threats and provides automatic removal of viruses, worms, Trojan horses, spyware, and adware.
• One-Button Checkup runs a customizable system check that finds and fixes problems ranging from fragmented drives to outdated virus definitions to Registry conflicts.
