Windows 7 Professional is the professional edition of the previous Microsoft operating system. Compared to Windows Vista, it features enhanced performance, a simplified interface, expanded search capabilities, and more secure networking. This 64-bit version operates on a computer with a 64-bit processor and 64-bit drivers.

This donation provides one upgrade license. Request one license for this product for each computer on which you will install it.

Editions You Can Upgrade From

Only certain editions of the Windows operating system qualify for upgrades under CTX Programmes Volume Licensing agreements with Microsoft. To install this operating system, you must have a licensed installation of one of the following operating systems on the device where you are installing the upgrade:

•    Windows Vista Enterprise, Business, or Ultimate
•    Windows XP Professional or Tablet PC
•    Windows 2000 Professional
•    Windows NT Workstation 4.0
•    Windows 98 SE

You cannot upgrade from any Home edition of Windows. If your device doesn't meet the requirements for an upgrade product, you might be eligible for a full operating system license through Microsoft's Get Genuine Windows Agreement for Small and Medium Organisations programme.

Benefits for Organisations

You should consider requesting Windows 7 Professional if:

•    Your organization uses software that is not compatible with Windows 8, the latest edition of Windows
•    You need to upgrade a PC running an older version of Windows, and most of the computers at your organisation are already running Windows 7

Major Capabilities

•    Windows Search: Conduct a systemwide search for programs, documents, pictures, music, and email. When you start typing in the Start menu search box, results will appear even before the search terms are completely entered.
•    Action Center: View consolidated maintenance and security alerts in one place and choose exactly when alerts should be sent.
•    Simplified networking: Use the Domain Join and HomeGroup networking features to more simply connect to an office domain or share printers, documents, pictures, music, and video on a network.
•    Improved power management: Reduce power consumption to save energy through automatic screen dimming, powering off unused ports, and a more accurate battery-life indicator.

Service Pack 1

Service Pack 1 includes all previously released security, performance, and stability updates for Windows 7.

Installing Windows 7

Unless you are upgrading from Windows Vista, this installation requires a "clean install." This means that if the computer has an existing operating system, you must remove all operating system files and applications, install the system, and reinstall the applications. Windows 7 Professional requires significant system resources, as detailed below. It is likely that PCs currently running an operating system older than Windows Vista might not be able to run Windows 7. Important Volume Licensing Information

With Windows 7, your organization can choose between two types of volume license keys for product activation: a Key Management Service (KMS) license key or a Multiple Activation Key (MAK). A Key Management Service (KMS) key for Windows 8 is available by default on the Microsoft Volume Licensing website; that is, this is the only type of key you will see unless you request a MAK.

A KMS key requires at least 25 computers on a network for activation. If your organization has fewer than 25 computers, you should request a MAK from the Volume Licensing website after receiving this product.

Obtaining This Product

Installing this product requires installation media and a license key. The license key allows you to use the installation media to install the product on as many computers as you have received licenses for.

Expect three emails:
1.    When your donation request has been approved, CTX Programme will send a message to your organisation email address confirming the number of licenses you have requested.
2.    Microsoft will send an email welcoming your organisation to the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC).
3.    CTX Programme will send an email with information about managing your donation at the VLSC. If you are new to the VLSC, you should wait for this email before you register there.

Software Assurance

Under the Software Assurance programme, you have the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of your coverage.


 
 

MapPoint 2013 Europe is a mapping programme that allows users to create custom maps and plan trips. It includes detailed geographic coverage for 16 countries and less detailed coverage for 20 others. Maps can include points of interest like city halls, restaurants, and ATMs. Maps of eight countries contain demographic data.

This donation provides one license. See a summary of Volume Licensing Product Use Rights or specific licensing details.

Benefits for Organisations

You can use MapPoint to:
•    Create maps to plan the most efficient deployment of service locations
•    Create graphic visualizations of your organization's activities to measure its effectiveness in different locations
•    Plan travel for the organisation's employees, volunteers, and clients

Major Capabilities

•    Map external data: You can depict client bases and trends by importing or linking information from Excel, Access, Outlook, or any SQL Server database to a MapPoint-based map.
•    Export maps to other documents: You can add customized maps to Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, emails, and other documents.
•    Plan optimal routes: You can download current road construction data and view hundreds of thousands of points of interest, such as city halls, restaurants, and ATMs, when planning a trip.
•    Use with Global Positioning System (GPS) devices: You can send route information to a GPX-compatible GPS device (see the System Requirement    s for necessary hardware).

Countries with Detailed Street-Level Information and Addresses

You can show detailed street-level information and find addresses on maps of the following countries:
•    With demographic data: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and United Kingdom. Maps of these countries contain demographic data such as household income, age, and gender.
•    Without demographic data: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden.

Countries with No Address Information

You can see some street-level information on maps of the following countries but not find addresses: Andorra, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Guernsey, Hungary, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Monaco, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Vatican City.

The Cisco ASA 5510-SEC-BUN-K9 Security Appliance delivers advanced security and networking services for small and medium-sized companies.

Up to five virtual firewalls can be deployed to enable compartmentalised control of security policies on a departmental level. This virtualization strengthens security and reduces overall management and support costs while consolidating multiple security devices into a single appliance.

Secure socklet licence (SSL) and IPsec virtual private network (VPN) capacity can be extended to support a larger number of mobile workers, remote sites, and business partners. VPN capacity and resiliency can also be increased by taking advantage of the Cisco ASA 5510's integrated VPN clustering and load-balancing capabilities.

This product provides two SSL VPN licences,SSL VPN licenses are available at CTX Programme in packs of 25  & 50. Additional licences and secure socket modules can be acquired through Cisco at regular retail price after your order has been delivered.

Product Service and Support: Cisco will provide five years of hardware and software service and support ("SMARTnet") for any product obtained through this donation programme (Linksys products not included).

Flickr is an online application for storing, organizing, sharing, and discussing photos and videos A Flickr pro account allows unlimited storage, photos up to 20 MB in size, videos up to 90 seconds long, organisation into any number of sets and collections of sets, and submission into the pools of up to 60 Flickr groups.

Flickr members can do the following things with photos and videos:

• Upload: Photos and videos can be uploaded singly or in batches in several ways: through a Web-based tool, through a free downloadable application that runs on the member's computer, through several third-party tools, or via email, including email from camera phones.
• Organise: Photos and videos can be grouped into sets and sets into collections. They can be assigned tags for easy searching.
• Share: Photos and videos can be made public, private, or visible only to certain people. They can be posted to groups organised around a common theme.
• Keep in touch: Members can designate other members as contacts, friends, and family and keep up to date with them through their recent activity pages or by email subscription. They can also have conversations about each other's photos through notes and comments.

This donation is for five 1-year Flickr pro accounts. Organisations may assign these accounts to any individual over 18 years of age. The account remains assigned to the individuals even if they leave the organization. After one year, the pro account reverts to a free account unless it is renewed. Free accounts have limits on use that are not present in pro accounts.

When your request is approved, you will receive an email with five license codes and instructions on how to redeem them on Flickr.

The Cisco ASA5505-SEC-BUN-K9 Security Appliance provides small and medium-sized companies with gateway security and virtual private network (VPN) connectivity.

The ASA 5505 includes an 8-port Fast Ethernet switch, stateful firewall, support for up to 25 concurrent VPN sessions, Triple Data Encryption Standard Virtual Private Network/Advanced Encryption Standard (3DES/AES) license, 1 expansion slot, and support for unlimited user licenses. It delivers up to 150 Mbps of firewall throughput and 100 Mbps of VPN throughput.

This product includes the Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM), a browser-based management and monitoring interface. This single solution provides comprehensive configuration and monitoring of all the services in a single application and provides wizards to guide administrators through initial and ongoing configuration tasks.

For VPN connections, Cisco Easy VPN Server and Cisco Easy VPN Remote simplify remote configuration and management.

The base appliance supports up to 25 Internet protocol security (IPsec) VPN users and includes 2 secure sockets layer (SSL) VPN user licenses for evaluation and remote management purposes. Support for up to 25 SSL VPN users can be obtained by acquiring a license upgrade pack through CTX PROGRAMME. The Core Device CAL Suite is a set of four device client access licenses (CALs) and two operating system environment (OSE) client management licenses (MLs). Together they provide workstation licensing for key Microsoft server technologies.

A device CAL gives one computer or other device access to a server regardless of the number of users. An OSE client ML licenses the management of one nonserver device. If a device has multiple OSEs, a separate ML is required for each OSE being managed. See below for details on the CALs and client MLs included with this donation.

Benefits for Organisations

•    You can request this suite to obtain workstation licensing for six popular server products using only one of your Microsoft title group allotments.
•    You'll also obtain the rights to download and install management server software for System Center Configuration Manager, System Center Virtual Machine Manager, and System Center Endpoint Protection.

CALs

One Core Device CAL Suite contains one of each of the following CALs:

•    Windows Server Device CAL provides access to Windows Server.
•    Exchange Server Device CAL – Standard provides access to Exchange Server.
•    SharePoint Server Standard Edition Device CAL provides access to SharePoint Server.
•    Lync Server Device CAL – Standard supports the instant messaging, presence, and PC-to-PC audio and video communications capabilities of Lync Server 2010 or Office Communications Server 2007 R2.

Note: The Exchange Server Enterprise CAL and SharePoint Server Enterprise Edition CAL are not included in the Core CAL Suite.

System Center Client MLs

One Core Device CAL Suite contains one of each of the following OSE client MLs:

•    System Center Configuration Manager OSE Client ML allows management by System Center Configuration Manager and Virtual Machine Manager.
•    System Center Endpoint Protection OSE Client ML allows protection by System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection.

The right to run management server software is included with System Center client MLs. If you request this product, you can download and install the management server software listed above. The software includes a runtime version of SQL Server Technology (SQL Server Standard Edition) to support System Center. No additional licenses are needed for management servers or SQL Server technology.

Software Assurance

The C2960-48TT-L is one of the Catalyst 2960 series fixed-configuration switches offering 10/100 Fast Ethernet and 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity with enhanced LAN services for midsize and branch office networks. The 48TT-L model provides:

• Forty-Eight Ethernet 10/100 Base-T ports for desktop connectivity
• Two 10/100/1000 Ethernet uplink ports

The LAN Base feature set includes a rich Layer 2+ suite of intelligent services, including advanced quality of service (QoS), granular rate limiting, and access control lists (ACLs), and multicast services.

Security is delivered through a wide range of authentication methods, data encryption technologies, and Network Admission Control (NAC) based on users, ports, and MAC addresses.

There are two options for switch management: an embedded GUI device manager for all operating systems and the Windows-based Cisco Network Assistant available at no cost from the Cisco website.

  A SharePoint Server Enterprise user client access license (CAL) can be used only in conjunction with a SharePoint Server Standard user CAL. It authorizes a user to access additional features in SharePoint Server from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).
