SharePoint Server 2013 (Includes Software Assurance)

SharePoint Server 2013 is a server platform for information sharing, collaboration, and content management. Its services can be accessed only by appropriately licensed internal users.
This product includes a server license. Each user or device that accesses SharePoint Server must have a Standard client access license (CAL). Additive Enterprise CALs are required to access certain features. See a summary of Volume Licensing Product Use Rights for specific licensing details.

• Portals: You can build and maintain multiple content portals on a single SharePoint installation, with each portal customized for a particular business activity or organisational stakeholder. SharePoint Server Foundation 2013
SharePoint Foundation is a collaboration platform and foundation for building web applications. It is available free of charge from Microsoft. All of the features in SharePoint Foundation are also available in SharePoint Server.
Obtaining This Product
Installing this product requires installation media and a license key. The license key allows you to use the installation media to install the product on as many computers as you have received licenses for.
Expect three emails:
1. When your donation request has been approved, CTX Programme will send a message to your organisation email address confirming the number of licenses you have requested.
2. Microsoft will send an email welcoming your organisation to the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC).
3. CTX Programme will send an email with information about managing your donation at the VLSC. If you are new to the VLSC, you should wait for this email before you register there.
Software Assurance
Under the Software Assurance programme, you have the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of your coverage.
Requirements:

Cisco SFP Transceiver Module (GLC-FE-100FX)

Description:
The GLC-FE-100FX is one of Cisco's 100BASE-X Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers. These hot-swappable input/output devices plug into a Fast Ethernet port or slot, linking the port with the network. This FX model operates on ordinary multimode fiber-optic (MMF) link spans up to 2 kilometers long.
Features:
- Cisco will provide five years of hardware and software service and support ("SMARTnet") for any product or product bundle obtained through this donation program.

Project Server User CAL (Includes Software Assurance)

Description:
A Project Server user client access license (CAL) authorizes a user to access the services of Project Server from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home). Any application that accesses the services of Project Server requires a CAL, including Project Professional, Project Web App, SharePoint sites with Web Parts that display project information, Microsoft Office Outlook integration, and third-party applications.
This donation provides one user CAL. Device CALs for licensing computers are also available.

This license does not require media, license keys, or setup codes.
CALs, ECLs, and management licenses (MLs) offered through CTX Programme are always for the currently offered version of the server software. However, these licenses can also be used with earlier versions of the server software.
Software Assurance

Project Server 2013 is project management software that runs on Windows Server. It enables medium-sized and large organisations to better manage projects and project portfolios. Project Server 2013 is accessed through its clients: Project Professional and Project Web App.
This product includes a server license. In addition, each user or device that accesses Project Server must have a client access license (CAL). See a summary of Volume Licensing Product Use Rights for specific licensing details.

Tools included in Publisher help users create, customize, and reuse materials that are tailored to an organisation's specific needs.

Benefits for Organisations
You can use Publisher to:
• Create brochures or flyers to inform others about your organisation or upcoming events
• Design letterhead and envelopes with your organisation's logo and colors
Major Capabilities
• Templates: Publisher gives you a library of hundreds of customizable design templates or blank publications, including newsletters, brochures, flyers, postcards, websites, and email formats. From within the application, you can search for more templates available on the web.
• Image-editing tools: You can pan, zoom, and crop images, all within Publisher.
• Mailing integration: You can compile, edit, and manage your customer or contacts list directly in Publisher and apply your contacts to letters and envelopes for bulk mailing.
Important Volume Licensing Information
With Office 2013 suites and applications, organisations can choose between two types of volume license keys for product activation: a Key Management Service (KMS) license key or a Multiple Activation Key (MAK). Organisations will be provided with both types of keys on the Microsoft Volume Licensing website.
For help deciding which type of key to use, Microsoft offers instructions on how to use a MAK or KMS key to activate volume editions of Office 2013.

System Center Data Protection Manager 2007 Data Protection Management License - Standard (Includes Software Assurance)

This standard server management license (ML) allows one file server to be protected by a server running System Center Data Protection Manager 2007.
One server ML allows for protection of one operating system environment (OSE). In order to protect multiple OSEs on one server, each OSE must be licensed separately.
An enterprise ML is required for protection of server applications such as SQL Server, Exchange Server, and SharePoint Server. Enterprise MLs are not available for donation through The CTX Programme, but they can be purchased through Microsoft's Charity Open Licensing program. Each server or OSE requires either a standard or an enterprise ML, but not both.
User and OSE client MLs are also available. A client ML is required for each nonserver device protected by Data Protection Manager.

When used in conjunction with a limited device CAL, a Dynamics CRM full use additive device CAL allows a computer or other device write access to a Dynamics CRM professional or enterprise server, thus allowing the device full read-write access to the server. The full use additive device CAL may be used only in conjunction with a limited device CAL.

Windows Server is Microsoft's solution for workgroup file, print, and communication servers, as well as for Internet content delivery. A device client access license (CAL) is needed for every device accessing Windows Server for file services, printing services, remote access service, or terminal services. It is also needed for any authenticated devices accessing Windows Server as a web server or an application server.
This donation provides one device CAL that authorizes one computer to access Windows Server, regardless of the number of users (for example, on a shared workstation). User CALs for licensing individuals and external connector licenses (ECLs) for licensing a significant number of external users are also available.
